Chain Sector Explorer

Exchange custody is excluded by default. DefiLlama's CEX category is exchange cold wallets, and it is enormous: 87% of Ethereum's Payments & RWA, 99.6% of Bitcoin's, 99.4% of Tron's. Counting it makes every large chain report the same dominant sector while telling you nothing about what the chain does, so it is off unless you press "+ exchange custody". DefiLlama leaves it out of DeFi TVL for the same reason.

Reading the numbers. "Value locked" is a raw sum of per-protocol TVL on that chain, so it runs higher than DefiLlama's headline chain figure, which nets out double-counted positions (a liquid-staking token deposited into a lending market is counted by both). Fees are attributed from each protocol's own per-chain breakdown. Sector groupings are mine: 101 DefiLlama categories rolled into 8 stable sectors so a sector keeps the same colour on every chain.

Known blind spot. Both measures are financial. A chain whose activity is gaming, social or NFT with little capital parked will look smaller here than it feels. Use it to read where money concentrates, not where users do.
